After the success in the Fall of our 8-part video/in-person Bible Study featuring Catholic theologian Jeff Cavins, we will be offering more in-depth version entitled The Bible Timeline: The Story of Salvation beginning this February. This twenty-four-part study (12 weeks in the Spring and 12 weeks in the Fall) will take you on a guided journey through salvation history, while offering fresh, practical tools to help you read and appreciate the Bible. In its approach to studying Scripture, The Bible Timeline divides the Bible into twelve time periods that make it easier to follow its narrative thread. Using a unique color-coded chart, you will learn about the major people, places, and events of the Bible and discover how they all come together to reveal the remarkable story of our Catholic Faith. Places from the Holy Land will be featured to help the scripture come alive and put people and stories into context.
The Spring Session will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm to 8pm at St. Jude Hall beginning on February 10th and lasting until May 5th.It is possible that we may have to begin the sessions at St. Anthony as we are awaiting completion of the bathroom renovations at St. Jude. You may use a study Bible of your choice but the other materials for these sessions will cost $40 - this includes a textbook and other essential maps. You can pay either online by clicking this LINK to the signup page or by dropping off payment at the Collaborative Offices during the week with your name and email address between regular weekday office hours (8:30am to 4pm Monday-Friday). If you are paying by check please make it out to St. Jude Church. We are asking folks to register BEFORE FEBRUARY 1st so we can have enough materials on hand for the first session!
