Meal Ministry

An Overview of Meal Ministry:

Our  collaborative serves a hot meal to the needy of Taunton every Saturday from 11:30am to 12:30pm.  We started the Meal Ministry in April of 2020 during the pandemic.  We are currently serving 100-110 people.  ​

We serve a hot balanced meal along  with a brown bag that has a variety of items in it. All the meals are cooked in our kitchen by volunteers.The brown bag always contains water and dessert along with a variety of items from Pennies from Heaven which is next door. They usually sends us fruit and chips, but a variety of other items. At St. Jude you have the option of eating in, or taking out.

Our meal ministry started at St. Anthony Parish Center but in May of 2024 moved to St. Jude Hall so that we can serve the  neighborhood. With this move to St. Jude we changed from "Grab n Go" to asking people to come into the Hall to get their meal.

Only the two doors closet to Whittenton Street will be opened. The door on the side of Fifth Av has a ramp into the hall. You can park on Fifth Ave, behind the rectory, or on Whittenton Street.

The two main leaders of Meal Ministry are Judy Corliss and Mike Cote.
