The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) is the process by which an adult or teen is initiated into the Catholic Church. It is the path by which the unbaptized receive baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion. It is also the path which which the baptized (Catholic or non-Catholic) receive Confirmation and First Communion, and non-Catholic to convert to the Catholic Faith. If you are interested in beginning this process, the first step is to meet with our Pastoral Associate, Joanne Mercier. This meeting is an opportunity answer some of your basic questions about the faith, and how to join the Church. There may be a few meetings before you decide that you are ready to take the next step. No high pressure sale pitch. The OCIA team also sponsors "Inquiry Nights" a few times during the year to enjoy fellowship and answer basic faith questions in a relaxed setting. Keep tabs on the Collaborative Facebook page and the weekly bulletin for information on the where and when. You can reach Joanne by calling our OCIA direct line at 508-445-3320.You can also email us at OCIA@cntaunton.org. We look forward to hearing from you.
